UK Schools Memory Championship

The World Memory Sports Council and Learning Performance have announced the launch of the UK Schools Memory Championships 2014.

The UK Schools Memory Championship has established a reputation for helping students acquire powerful mental skills to improve both learning and self-confidence. Now, for the first time in its seven-year history, the final will be televised on UKTV channel Watch, home of the magician Dynamo!

The organisers are looking for innovative schools with promising young talent to be part of this exciting competition. Learning Performance together with the World Memory Sports Council will be holding free Memory Workshops in 5 regions – Wales, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and London. Schools wanting to enter can select 10+ students to attend and then continue memory training at school by forming a Brain Club. After a few weeks training students will complete a memory test used by Champions across the world, to reach the final! Elite World Memory Champions, such as Dominic O’Brien, will then coach the top 8 students before filming the grand final in London on 19th and 20th August 2014. Entry, resources, workshop and, if successful, the grand final is all completely free.
